Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-05-13
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of AprScope (“the site”). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
The site is operated by Vladimir Kayzumov as an individual. References to “we” or “us” refer to the operator.
1. The service
AprScope aggregates publicly available data about decentralized finance protocols and presents it in a structured form. The site is provided free of charge, on an as-is basis, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the data accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. DeFi data changes continuously; the displayed values are snapshots taken at the most recent ingestion cycle (typically within the last hour for current values, and the last day for historical data).
2. Not financial advice
Nothing on this site is financial advice. We are not investment advisors, brokers, or fiduciaries. Specifically:
- Pool rankings, sortings, and “top” lists are mechanical outputs of our algorithms. They are not recommendations to deposit, withdraw, or take any other action.
- Risk profile blocks are templated descriptions derived from structured data. They identify categories of risk but do not assess specific likelihood or severity for any individual pool.
- Overview blocks are informational summaries composed from structured data. They are not analyses, opinions, or endorsements.
- Editorial content (blog posts, hand-written protocol descriptions) reflects the personal opinions of the author at the time of writing. It is not personalized advice and may become outdated.
Decisions to deposit funds in any DeFi protocol carry significant risk of partial or total loss. Before depositing, you should:
- Read the protocol’s official documentation.
- Review the protocol’s audit reports.
- Verify the contract addresses through multiple independent sources.
- Start with a small position size to test the deposit and withdrawal flow.
- Diversify across protocols to limit smart-contract exposure.
- Consider whether DeFi participation is appropriate for your jurisdiction, financial situation, and risk tolerance.
If you need personalized financial advice, consult a licensed financial advisor familiar with cryptocurrency in your jurisdiction.
3. Risk acknowledgment
By using the site, you acknowledge and accept that:
- DeFi protocols can be exploited, hacked, or rendered insolvent. Funds deposited can be partially or totally lost.
- Smart contracts can have bugs that surface only under specific market conditions.
- Stablecoins can lose their peg, sometimes permanently.
- Liquidity pools can experience impermanent loss that becomes permanent at the moment of withdrawal.
- Reward tokens can lose value rapidly, making advertised APY figures misleading.
- Cross-chain bridges introduce additional smart-contract risk.
- Regulatory action in your jurisdiction may at any time affect your ability to use DeFi protocols.
The information on this site is intended to help you understand these risks, not to eliminate them.
4. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (Vladimir Kayzumov, the operator of AprScope) disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. This includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or any other commercial damages.
If you suffer a financial loss connected to a DeFi protocol you discovered through this site, we are not responsible. Your use of the site is at your sole risk.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the site for any lawful purpose consistent with these Terms. You may not:
- Use automated tools (scrapers, bots) to download data at a rate that materially impacts site performance for other users. Reasonable rate-limited scraping for personal use is acceptable.
- Misrepresent the source of data on the site. If you republish data from AprScope elsewhere, attribute the source.
- Use the site in any way that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site’s infrastructure, database, or admin functions.
6. Intellectual property
The site’s design, code, and editorial content (blog posts, hand-written descriptions, this Terms document) are owned by Vladimir Kayzumov. They are made available under the following terms:
- Source code of the site is published under an open-source license; see the project’s GitHub repository for the specific license text.
- Editorial content (blog posts, About, Methodology) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You may reproduce or quote it with attribution to “Vladimir Kayzumov, AprScope” and a link back to the original page.
- Underlying data is sourced from DefiLlama, who make it available under their own terms. We do not claim ownership of the underlying market data.
7. Affiliate links and advertising
When the site begins displaying advertising or affiliate links (currently it does not), we will:
- Disclose advertising relationships clearly at the point of placement.
- Mark affiliate links visibly when they appear.
- Never let advertisers influence editorial coverage, pool rankings, or risk notes.
If you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase or signup, the destination service may pay us a commission. This does not affect the price you pay.
8. Third-party links
The site contains links to third-party websites (DeFi protocols, audit firms, official documentation). These links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of third-party sites. Visit them at your own risk.
9. Changes to the service
We may at any time:
- Add, modify, or remove features of the site.
- Change the data sources, refresh cadence, or presentation.
- Discontinue the site entirely with reasonable notice on the homepage.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the site evolves. The lastUpdated field at the top of the page reflects the most recent material change. Continued use of the site after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is resident at the time of any dispute. Any dispute arising from your use of the site that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
12. Contact
For questions about these Terms, see the contact page.
